More on Some Kinds of Groups and Meetings

We have come up with 4 basic kinds of groups or meetings for the League of Introverts:

Core Group, Focus Group, Open Group, Organizational/Networking

Loosely:

  1. 1 Core Group

This would be a basic medium term meeting group of introverts (ambi and exta not necessarily excluded). To keep the thread, it has been thought that somewhere between weekly and every third week might be optimum in terms of frequency of meeting. Membership of this group it is similarly thought might optimally be kept to somwhere between 6 and 12 members with 9 likely being optimum.

In our early conception, it was thought that this sort of group would probably entail some sort of commitment to meet of a number of months.

  1. 2 Focus Group

This is like a core group but focused on a particular topic. This might be Introvert Creatives, Introverts in Sales, Introvert Parents, Introvert Entrepreurs, Introverts in Policy, etc. The Focus Group would likely have a goal it was working toward and may be adhoc or self-limiting in duration.

  1. 3 Open Group

An Open Group, also having been called an ‘on-boarding’ or ‘welcoming’ group or meeting would be an orientation for those curious to join or learn more about the L.O.I. Depending on interest, these may become frequent or not, and be well attended or not. In the case that their is significant interest, it is recommended that these meetings be broken into break outs about the size of a standard Core Group. 2 or more seasoned or soft skilled members of an existing Core Group should likely be available to facilitate an ‘on-boarding’ meeting or the breakouts thereof.

  1. 4 Organizational/Networking

Envisioned at this starting point for Networking/Organizational are two types. FB Groups, such as the parent and any spinoffs, and within any Core, Focus, or Open Group as relevant, meetings specifically geared toward deliberation and decision-making.
